Nini Andrade Silva
Nini Andrade Silva, considered one of the world's best Interior Designers, is a native of Madeira and is the creative mind behind multiple hotels, and already has an impressive work in Portugal and abroad. His work is a constant presence in prestigious publications around the world such as the New York Times, Financial Times, El Pais, Wallpaper, Condé Nast Travel, Magazine Harrods, Andrew Martin Guide among many others.
Parallel to their work, Nini is the creator of indoor and outdoor furniture lines and the versatility of his work still stands out his great passion for painting, being is present in important collections of contemporary art world and in prestigious international museums . Coupled with its painting, Nini lent the name that was to become recognized - Garouta the Pebble, the Community Development Association of Funchal, a Private Institution of Social Solidarity which was born from the need to respond to problematic situations underlying the existence of groups vulnerable. Garouta do Calhau is a name linked to the reminiscences of the designer and by which were designated the most disadvantaged children playing on the pebble beaches of Madeira.
